About this scale
The major pentatonic removes the 4th and 7th degrees from the major scale, leaving the notes that sound most consonant over major chord progressions. The result is a scale that's almost impossible to play a wrong note on.
In E, it works beautifully over E major, A major, and B major | the I, IV, and V chords of the key.
