Scaled ("we", "us", or "our") operates the Scaled web application at scaledguitar.com. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our service. By using Scaled, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

2. Information We Collect

Account information: When you create an account, we collect your email address and the date you agreed to our Terms of Use.

Payment information: If you subscribe to Scaled Pro, your payment is processed by Stripe. We do not store your credit card number or payment details. Stripe may collect and store payment information in accordance with their own privacy policy.

Usage data: We store data you create within the app, including saved scales, projects, tunings, color themes, and practice statistics. This data is stored in our database (Supabase) and associated with your account.

Local storage: Some preferences (such as app settings) are stored locally in your browser. This data never leaves your device unless you are signed in, in which case it may sync to your account.

3. How We Use Your Information

• To provide, maintain, and improve the Scaled service
• To authenticate your account and keep it secure
• To process payments and manage your subscription through Stripe
• To send you product updates, new features, or promotional emails, if you have opted in
• To respond to support requests or legal inquiries

4. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to operate Scaled:

• Supabase — database and authentication
• Stripe — payment processing and subscription management
• Vercel — hosting and deployment

Each of these services has its own privacy policy and data practices. We are not responsible for their policies or actions.

5. Email Communications

If you opt in to email updates during sign-up or in your account settings, we may send you occasional emails about new features, promotions, or tips. You can unsubscribe at any time by toggling the Email Updates setting in your account settings page. We will never sell your email address to third parties.

6. Data Retention

7. Data Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), row-level security on our database, and server-side authentication checks. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Children

Scaled is not intended for children under the age of 13. By creating an account, you confirm that you are at least 13 years old. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by updating the date at the top of this page. Continued use of Scaled after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
